A Fighter, Not a Politician.
Ian Murphy didn’t set out to become a leader in the fight for liberty — but when freedom was on the line, he refused to back down.
As the owner of Iron Pig Smokehouse in Gaylord, Michigan, Ian built a successful small business the old-fashioned way: hard work, great food, and deep roots in his Northern Michigan community. He wasn’t looking for a fight with the government.
But in 2020, the fight came to him.
While politicians and bureaucrats issued unconstitutional “emergency orders” that destroyed countless livelihoods, Ian made a simple decision: he would not let the state shut down his business and destroy the lives of his employees and customers.
He kept the Smokehouse open. He kept serving his neighbors. He kept paying his team.
The state responded with fury — suspending his liquor and food licenses, issuing heavy fines, and threatening jail time. Most people would have folded.
Ian Murphy did not.
Standing on Principle
Working shoulder-to-shoulder with constitutional attorney David Delaney, Ian took the Michigan government to court. They challenged the illegal delegation of legislative power to unelected health departments. They exposed the unconstitutional overreach hidden behind “public health” orders.
And they won.
A Michigan judge ruled key portions of the state’s emergency public health statutes unconstitutional. Fines were dismissed. Licenses were restored. The Health Department of Northwest Michigan ultimately backed down and chose not to appeal — a complete and total victory for freedom.
That fight wasn’t the end. It was only the beginning.
Taking on the Next Threat
Today, Ian continues the battle — this time against industrial-scale solar developments that are aggressively targeting Michigan’s farmland, forests, and rural communities.
Backed by special interests and enabled by flawed state laws like Public Act 233, massive solar corporations are attempting to bypass local zoning and ram through projects that destroy the very character and economy of Northern Michigan.
Ian and his legal team are already in the fight — exposing violations, protecting property rights, and forcing accountability in the courts.
Our Vision
Ian Murphy’s journey proves one powerful truth: Ordinary Americans, when they refuse to surrender their God-given rights, can beat the system.
Now, that same fighting spirit is being channeled into something bigger.
As founder of IRON PAC – The Initiative to Revitalize Our Nation, Ian is building a coalition of patriots to recruit, support, and elect constitutional candidates who will defend limited government, local control, and property rights at the local, state, and federal levels.
He knows the stakes. He’s lived the battles. And he’s ready to take the fight where it matters most — to the ballot box.
